The idea that waiting is something you should do with someone you like AT ALL (if you don’t like someone AT ALL and you’re sleeping with him, that would be worthy of a whole other post), demonstrates that withholding sex somehow shows that you care about him MORE. Or that withholding sex is a way to KEEP a guy who would normally run in the other direction after you’ve had sex—a guy who normally views women and sex as a conquest, and now that he’s gotten the milk for free, he can go service another cow or something. I mean, any guy who’s worth your time, your interest AT ALL, will stick around for more if he’s into you and best to find out his true colors sooner rather than later, yeah?

“Bad Advice: Julia Allison Wants You to Withhold Sex,” Amelia McDonell-Parry, The Frisky - I myself suspect that Julia may be right. I know, I know, not in all cases, but I definitely found that I lost out a few times on guys I was into. Girls who sleep with girls (cause I’m notorious for falling for straight girls, still do all the time) are another story. I’m reading an advance copy of comedian Jeff Mac’s book Manslations right now (based on the site of the same name) and he says that if the guy’s the right guy (and you’re the right girl for him), he won’t care, but that if you’re not, he’ll sleep with you and then be on his way. Technically is she right that some guys will head for the hills if you sleep with them right away? Oh sure. But those guys are losers and you don’t wanna waste time with them anyway!
